Tantrayana Meditation Centre Practices
Lama Tendar wishes to invite everyone to come and see the new Medicine Buddha Tantrayana Meditation Centre at 132 Kars Street in Franskton South.
It is Tendar's intention that many people will benefit from the centre over the coming years. Known for his Tibetan Buddhist healing qualities, and beautiful harmonic chanting, Lama Tendar has benefited numberless beings in Australia and abroad. Lama Tendar has dedicated his life to serving others and since his arrival in Australia, he has worked tirelessly to achieve his goals.
In Tibetan Buddhism, healing takes place with the removal of the three poisons of attachment, anger and delusion.
The main practice is Medicine Buddha practice for healing. Medicine Buddha is the Healing Buddha. He is the King of The Healers. When Medicine Buddha became enlightened, he promised to free all beings from samsara through his power of compassion.
By seeing his face, hearing his name or chanting his mantra, beings are filled with blessings and will never wander towards the lower realms.
By practising Medicine Buddha , we can overcome sickness and diseases.
We can begin to stabilize our minds from the beginning of our spiritual practice, while placing our chief emphasis on ethical discipline.
By taking out some time each day for the practice of meditative quiescence, we become increasingly aware of how our minds function; and in the process we begin to discover how scattered our minds have been all along.
Lama Tendar's regular Monday and Friday evening meditation classes offer enjoyable beginner and advanced meditation.
Meditation sessions are approximately one and a half hours in length. Bookings can be made online or at the door.
In Buddhism dharma means "cosmic law and order",but is also applied to the teachings of the Buddha. In Buddhist philosophy, dhamma/dharma is also the term for "phenomena". In your study of the dharma, you will encounter numerous lists, which the Buddha created to make his teachings accessible and memorable.
Lama Tendar's Tibetan Buddhist courses and study opportunities provide us with a way of directly accessing ancient wisdom and time honoured practices for improving both our spiritual and physical wellbeing.
Courses range from individual one-day workshops, to extensive training requiring a commitment of several days each month, for 3 months or more.
